Title : The logic behind chanting the Holy Names
As human beings, we are intelligent logical people (for most part). And all the major religions of the world tend to encourage the chanting of The Lord's Holy Names through mantras, hymns, praises and pastimes. So it becomes imperative for our logical species to intelligently understand the reason and benefit of Chanting the Holy Names of The Lord; to understand why The Lord has so many different Holy Names and what is the purpose and the exact process and how it works for us. This knowledge has saved many a lives in times of the greatest difficulties. It will be our great privilege to discuss upon this topic.

Initiation Ceremony on Monday 05/25/09
Posted May 21st, 2009 by adminWe are very excited to inform all of you that His Holiness Radhanath Swami will be in Columbus this Monday May. 25th 2009. During his visit Maharaja will be giving Harinam diksa or 1st initiation to some of our illustrious vaisnava's here as well as 1st and 2nd initiations to some visiting devotees.
Initiation is a very serious commitment and we are very proud of those devotees who chose to take this journey in their spiritual lives and are honored to host them at our Krishna house.The initiation festival will begin at 11:30AM in the back yard of the temple located at:

Thursday Feast, May 14th : The Celebration of Life…. in the memory of Bhaktin Marian
Posted May 13th, 2009 by adminHare Krishna. This week’s Thursday program will be in memory of Bhaktin Marian Thomas.
For those of us who knew Marian, we loved her dearly and will truly miss her association. She was a key member of our community for over five years, running the food pantry and serving our community in so many wonderful ways, often behind the scenes. She recently moved to Athens, Ohio where she and Sri Kishore Prabhu helped out with the Vegan Cooking Workshop and college preaching. She was also assisting Sri Kisore Prabhu in writing his thesis film project. She will be truly missed by us all.
We will be doing bhajans at the temple starting at 6 pm. Then we will have a slide show of Bhaktin Marian and her interactions with the devotees. We will have memories and everyone is encouraged to take about five minutes to share any memories they may have of her. Bhaktin Marian will be offered Maha Prasadam and later the remnants will be taken to the river. Everyone is welcome to attend that. We will finish with a feast of many of her favorite prasadam preparations.
